Norman Reedus Reacts to Hollywood Walk of Fame Star



Norman Reedus has weighed in after The Walking Dead star was recently named among the honorees of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2022. Though he’s appeared in movies like The Boondock Saints and Deuces Wild, Reedus is certainly best known for starring as the fan favorite zombie slayer, Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead. Although the character wasn’t featured in the original comics, the popularity Reedus brought to the show as Daryl has helped make the zombie drama one of the most successful TV series of all time.

Fans have been showering Norman Reedus with support ever since his name was announced. Taking to Twitter, Reedus posted a link of the honorees, and in one tweet, he writes “Holy balls” in response to the news. In another couple of tweets, Reedus thanks the fans for all of the support they’ve been giving him, making it clear that this is just as much of a win for them as it is for him.

Reedus has been one of TV’s hottest stars for the past decade, so it’s no shocker to see him up for this award. While The Walking Dead has an endgame in sight, fans of Reedus can still see more of Daryl Dixon beyond the series ending. It’s been confirmed that he will reprise the role in an upcoming spinoff alongside Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier.

Other TV actors to be given Hollywood Walk of Fame stars as the Class of 2022 include Byron Allen, Greg Berlanti, Ricky Gervais, Peter Krause, Bob Odenkirk, Holly Robinson Peete, Norman Reedus, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jean Smart, Ming-Na Wen, and Kenan Thompson. Movie actors that will also be given the honors include Michael B. Jordan, Carrie Fisher, James Hong, Macaulay Culkin, Willem Dafoe, Salma Hayek, Helen Hunt, Regina King, Ray Liotta, Ewan McGregor, Adam McKay, Jason Momoa, and Tessa Thompson.

Meanwhile, music honorees include Nipsey Hussle, DJ Khaled, the Black Eyed Peas, George Clinton, Jr., Ashanti Douglas, Avril Lavigne, Los Huracanes del Norte, and Martha Reeves. Richard Blade is getting a star to represent radio while Michael Strahan will be honored for the new sports entertainment category. Patti LuPone, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr., and Angelica Vale are among the live performance honorees.

“The Panel did an amazing job choosing these very talented people,” said Ellen K, chair of the Walk of Fame selection panel. “We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!”

Congratulations to Norman Reedus as well as the rest of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2022. In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing more of Reedus as Daryl Dixon in the eleventh and final season of The Walking Dead.
