Superman & Lois Season 2 Trailer Reveals Clark Kent Struggling to Control His Powers

The CW has recently released the very first official trailer for Superman & Lois season 2. The all-new trailer reveals plenty of footage of whats to come on the upcoming second season. After the events of the season 1 finale, things aren’t really back to normal for the Kent family. The latest trailer for the series also gives us our first look at Ian Bohen as Lt. Mitch Anderson. You can check out the official trailer for season 2 of Superman & Lois below.

The one-minute teaser reveals that Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) are having communication issues. “Things haven’t been okay for months, and I have been blaming you,” Lois says to Clark in the latest trailer for the upcoming second season. Natalie is also the name that was supposed to be the Arrowverse’s version of Clark and Lois’ daughter, before Lois had suffered a miscarriage. It may seem that the recent arrival of Natalie (who is the daughter of Lois Lane from a parallel earth) may bring some challenges for both Clark and Lois.

“The thing that I loved so much about this version of Lois Lane is you see all of her personal struggles and what she’s overcome to be who she is, and I think we’re going to reveal a lot more of that in season 2,” showrunner Todd Helbing told EW recently. “So Nat is certainly a part of that.”

As shown in the brand new trailer, it seems that Clark is struggling to control his powers. While also refusing to swear his allegiance to the United States of America, it has now created tension between the Man of Steel himself and his new DoD contact, Lt. Mitch Anderson. Ian Bohen, who co-starred in the supernatural drama television series Teen Wolf with Tyler Hoechlin, was officially announced to be joining the Arrowverse in a behind-the-scenes video that was posted on Tyler Hoechlin’s Instagram page back in October. Ian Bohen is currently set to star as his character in multiple episodes during the upcoming second season.

For the Irons family, things don’t seem to be going so well for them either. After reuniting during the season 1 finale, it is now revelaed that Natalie is not pleased about her father working alongside Superman. This is obivously pretty understandable for Natalie to have her doubts due to the Superman on her Earth killing her own mother, and basically the rest of the world. Throughout the second season of Superman & Lois, we’ll be seeing both the Kent and Irons family going through several challenges.

Superman & Lois is an American superhero drama television series on The CW. The series was developed by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti, which had its series premiere back in February 2021. The series is based on the DC Comics characters Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch star as the title characters, while the series takes place in the Arrowverse. Superman & Lois shares continuity with several other television series on The CW. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season received an approval rating of 88% based on a total of 41 reviews, with an average rating of 7.8/10. It was also very well-received with DC fans.

The second season of Superman & Lois is currently set to debut on Tuesday, January 11 on The CW. It has also been revealed that Djouliet Amara will be joining the cast as a new student to Smallville High. The character is described as having a past that is “riddled with secrets.” Jenna Dewan will also reprise her role as Lois Lane’s sister Lucy. Jenna Dewan previously played the character in the first season of fellow Arrowverse series Supergirl (starring Melissa Benoist).
