Old Navy FitsYou 3-Sizes-in-1 Flare Jeans I Editor Review

In February, I was introduced to a new concept that amazed me in every sense of the word: the Old Navy FitsYou 3-Sizes-in-1 Extra High-Waisted Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans. The idea is that you choose size range (0-00, 2-6, 8-12, 14-18, 20-24, and 26-30) instead of a single number, since it’s all too common for our weight to fluctuate. I was skeptical at first, but was overall really impressed. At the time, the only thing that bummed me out was the fact that they were only available as skinny jeans, and as someone who’s gravitating toward wide-leg styles these days, I hoped the brand would eventually come out with a pair. Well, I’m pleased to report that the time is now! While perusing its new arrivals section, I came across the Old Navy FitsYou 3-Sizes-in-1 Extra High-Waisted Flare Jeans ($40, originally $60) and added them to my cart immediately in the size range 8-12. Read my honest thoughts, ahead.

What I Like About These Jeans

This is about to sound convoluted, but these jeans are so comfortable that they don’t feel like . . . jeans. I’m wearing them right now and they’re not digging into me in the least, nor do they feel stiff or tight. They’re soft to the touch and stretchy, likely thanks to the fact that they’re made of a cotton, polyester, and spandex mix. And not to be dramatic, but I’d be cool with wearing them every single day for the foreseeable future. Another thing I love is the fit: they’re fitted through hip and thigh and flared at the bottom, which I find very flattering. I teamed them with one of my favorite Old Navy bodysuits and a pair of wedges, a simple, comfy look that felt put-together and elevated.

What’s Worth Noting

One thing worth noting about these jeans is that they’re the brand’s *Extra* High Rise jeans, which means they’re one inch higher than its standard high-rise jeans and sit above the belly button. That said, if you don’t typically opt for high-rise styles, these might fall a bit higher than you’re used to and thus, might not be for everyone.

Another thing to keep in mind is that some shoppers found them to be too long. According to the brand’s website, they’re meant to hit below the ankle. I’m 5″ 9′ and found that they hit just the right length, but I can see how they could be too long for some. That said, though, if you’re thinking about scooping them up for fall, they may pair perfectly with a pair of heeled boots.

Who Are These Jeans Best For?

These are best for those who are looking for a really comfortable pair of denim that’s forgiving when it comes to size. I personally find the FitsYou 3-Sizes-in-1 concept a breath of fresh air because it makes it so much less stressful putting on jeans when I’m feeling bloated or up a few pounds. I can rely on this pair and the aforementioned skinny jeans to adjust to my body shape as it is in that very moment. And you can’t say that about *most* jeans, can you?

  • These jeans are made of 72 percent cotton, 11 percent polyester, 6 percent spandex, 6 percent other fiber, and 5 percent recycled cotton.
  • These jeans come in sizes XS-4X.
  • To keep them in optimal shape, machine-wash in cold water and tumble-dry on a low setting.
