Lamar expected to miss Steelers game due to knee injury

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a knee injury, head coach John Harbaugh announced Friday.

“It looks like it’s going to be Tyler Huntley on Sunday,” Harbaugh told reporters.

Jackson – who was officially listed as doubtful – is reportedly dealing with a sprained PCL and the Ravens said Wednesday that they consider him week-to-week. He missed all three practice sessions ahead of the AFC North clash.

Huntley led a game-winning drive last week against the Denver Broncos, pushing Baltimore to 8-4 and maintaining its spot atop the division thanks to a head-to-head win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The backup quarterback started four games for the Ravens in 2021, including a Week 17 loss to the Steelers in which he completed just 52% of his passes and threw two interceptions.

In 11 career appearances, Huntley has thrown for 1,284 yards and three touchdowns against five interceptions while adding 358 yards and three scores on the ground.

Meanwhile, Jackson has put together another solid season despite Baltimore’s injury woes, throwing for 2,241 yards and 17 touchdowns against seven interceptions in 12 starts. He’s also on pace for a third career 1,000-yard rushing campaign after putting up 764 yards.
