Alabama Shakes announce 2025 North American reunion tour

Alabama Shakes have announced details of a 2025 reunion tour that will see them travel across North America – see all dates below.

Brittany Howard and co. shared a series of photos from the studio last week, apparently confirming that they were back together full-time, and now they have rubber-stamped that with news of an extensive headline tour for the summer.

The band’s first tour in eight years will kick off in Chicago’s The Salt Shed Fairgrounds on July 16, before eventually wrapping on September 27 in Irving, Texas’ The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. An artist pre-sale begins on Tuesday (February 11), while general sale is Friday (February 14) – you can find yours here.

“The wait is over…we’re back!” wrote the bank on Instagram to announce the tour.

“Last year, Heath, Zac, and I started chatting about how much fun it would be to make music together and tour again as Alabama Shakes,” Howard has said. “This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us. It is crazy that it has been 10 years since we released ‘Sound and Color’ and eight years since we played a show.”

The singer and guitarist also teased that since joining forces again, the group have recorded “a bunch of new music that will be released soon.”

In December, the band reunited for the first time in over seven years at a surprise show in their native Alabama. Howard had been slated to perform the gig as a solo act but decided to surprise guests by inviting her Alabama Shakes bandmates – Zac Cockrell, Heath Fogg, and Ben Tanner – to the stage.

Elsewhere, Brittany Howard‘s new hardcore band, Kumite, played their first show in Nashville in January. She was joined on stage at East Nashville’s Basement East by members of Nashville hardcore band Second Spirit.
