ESPN Drops NFL Draft Details And People Have Thoughts

Oh, ESPN just completely saw through to the end of their NFL Draft 2025 coverage. Asked how folks would react, here it is: National studio shows would start just before first pick when the event kicks off in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Most comments ranged from the dubiousness of ESPN’s excitement to the frankly personal investment people made in their individual drafts.

But this was it: jabs were just beginning to fly about the whole thing. LivingMediterranean hit up with “Ah yes, 2025… finally the year I learn all these prospects’ names! Can’t wait for that draft in Green Bay where I’ll pretend to know football while just chilling for the snacks,” while the other user tagged Retirement Travel Guide, saying, “Wow, ESPN sure knows how to draft hype, huh? I’m here for analysis and maybe to hear someone accidentally lose their nachos!” So mostly, it is party time over here.

However, not everyone was vibing in sync with ESPN’s voice. There were multiple replies cutting down to “stick with NFL network, though.” Pretty blunt. Someone took it further by going, “NFL Network better.” Another user going by the name JP Liberty was indeed straightforward: “Cool I’ll be watching NFL network.” Ouch. It’s serious competition. The Pat McAfee stans then followed.

Going by the name Washingtonanderson, he was pissed and simply replied ‘go to hell, Arnold.’ Really, just one person asked him where he was in the coverage lineup even as one more simply said “I’ll be watching @PatMcAfeeShow for the draft tonight.” Another asked “Is Pat doing his own show? He’s noticeably absent from the College Game Day picture package.” Obviously, McAfee’s absence was noted.

Other fans had, well, particular demands. “Tell @AdamSchefter not to tell us every pick before they’re announced please,” one said, while another moaned that “Somebody please tell Schefter not to announce the picks on air this year it ruined the coverage last year.” Meantime, USMCVet_0323 called for “More Mel Kiper during the draft showsand less everyone else.” People know what they want!

And then there was that one guy who just shouted “GOOGLEMECH” in replies. No context, no explanation. Just vibes.

At this point, a few had already checked out of football altogether-dtv757 very simply noting “Nfl ended 2 months ago. Talk about current sports ⚾️🏒⚽️🥎” and Perry Harrison adding “NFL never has a day off.” Fair enough.

At the end of the day, though, one would think that ESPN coverage of the draft would still pull in enormous numbers, whether the accounts were buzzing on Twitter or not. But the replies indeed prove one thing; different people have their reasons for watching the draft: serious analysis for some, McAfee’s energy for other, and just hoping that someone trips up on stage for some others. And honestly? All of them qualify.

The 2025 NFL Draft is fast developing into exactly the same thing on ESBN’s broadcasts and reply madness. No matter what, whether you’re in for the football, the memes, or the eventual, very viral moments, just remember one thing: the Internet will have something to say. Many things, in fact.
