Sports betting specialist Alex Monahan was about to duel out a nice thread dropping bombs in insane risk-free profit through MLB arbitrage betting. The comments show serious money being made by people who follow his play.

Monahan tweeted, “There has been limitless arbitrage opportunity today in the MLB…Already up over $500+ in risk-free profit today,” along with a long-winded explanation of his data-driven method. For the benefit of the uninitiated, it goes something like this: arbitrage betting, wherein you bet oppositely on the same event at two different sportsbooks in order to guarantee profit irrespective of outcome.
The responses are where the story is. Parlay Lab dropped this casually: “I made over $20k with this strategy in April”- it sounded like nothing at all. Arb Thief then chimed in with: “I’m able to make an extra $10,000 per month while still working my full-time job.” Like… excuse me??
Monahan broke down the math behind a number of real examples from MLB that day. But that would’ve earned him a $10.81 net profit regardless of what happened: placing a $149.20 wager on the over at -127 on Rebet followed by a $106.67 bet on Martin’s under 3.5 strikeouts at +150 on FanDuel would have secured him. That was done all day long.
And the craziest part? This is NOT gambling. As Monahan explains, “With arbitrage, one bet ALWAYS wins. One bet ALWAYS loses. You end up ahead regardless.” It is kind of day trading sportsbooks with one another.
However, these were rather scathing replies. User NlGGERJOCKEY made the joke, “The amount of cocaine it takes to be this dedicated should be studied at some point.” Liz G., meanwhile, asked the totally random toenail conditions question…ok then.
Monahan supplied beginner resources; he pointed those interested in this more towards some tutorial videos and Suggested tools to include OddsJam’s arbitrage calculator. His praising of TheArbFather, running free training sessions, is laudable. Most importantly, the most valuable advice? Use many sportsbooks because they all set the line differently.
From the thread, it shows that this new influx of legal sportsbooks has thrown up a goldmine for arbitrage. Odds are often set far enough apart to be exploited, given the sheer number of books competing with each other. Of course, Billy C said it’s less with tact: “Picking them off to make risk-free cash is the easiest money you’ll ever make!”
To learn, this takes a bit of doing and creating a decent bankroll set up from the perspective of an individual; nothing controversial with the testimonials, however. Life-changing money is what this means. According to Monahan, arbitrage allowed him to quit his job. Big question, however: Why doesn’t everybody do this?
