Twenty years and going strong! The newly announced few legs late for the 20th anniversary tour means actual hype. Expect a very interesting mixture of feelings: lots of nostalgia with a little new energy, so that both known classics and those in promotion could resound.

The photo gave away with the announcement; it shows the brothers walking through a field of tall grass, dressed in semi-casual suits. The bright blue skies set a happy tone, just the kind this tour’s celebratory vibe deserves. The caption reading, “JONAS BROTHERS X MARSHMELLO,” really set the expectation for some interesting guests, Marshmello, The All-American Rejects, and Boys Like Girls.
Of course, the fan reaction was instant! Some showed enthusiasm about the shows to come while others immediately asked, “What about international dates? One user wrote, “Ok, but what about Brazil?” Some others said, “Ecuador should be in that list.”—Demand for shows outside the United States was loud and clear with comments such as “Maybe EUROPE SOON?” and “COME TO RIO DE JANEIRO” filling the replies.
Well, a little less than half of the world had some less enthusiastic pockets. Some grumbled about where else there should be, with one person going on to say, “People in the U.S. have seen you 500 times already.” Then there were the people’s complaints over some of the venue changes, such as the one saddened by it being moved away from a city-center location to a smaller one almost an hour away.
While reactions may have seen their highs and lows, one thing going strong has been the excitement over this tour. A fan shared her heart, reminiscing how she saw the brothers way back in 2007, winning over many with free shows, and is looking forward to the upcoming show. “From Hudson River to Sunrise Arena, still riding every wave with you,” she wrote.
The new shows go on a presale on June 18 and go general sale on June 20. International stop or not, are you eager to catch all the magic Jonas Brothers can release? One thing’s for sure: the tour is going to be that special one.
