The Secret Order’ Cast & Character Guide

The Secret Order’ Cast & Character Guide

Released just in time for Halloween, John Lee Hancock’s Gothic horror series Talamasca: The Secret Order is slated to premiere on AMC on October 26, 2025. The third installment of Anne Rice’s “Immortal Universe” franchise, following Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, The Secret Order is the latest adaptation of Rice’s bestselling Vampire Chronicles novel series.

Boasting a superb international ensemble, the six-part horror series stars Australian actor Nicholas Denton as Guy Anatole, a sharp young college student recruited by Talamasca, a secret organization tasked with spying on paranormal activity. With seasoned veterans and talented newcomers alike, it’s worth getting acquainted with the cast and characters in Talamasca: The Secret Order before the TV show makes its official bow.

Nicholas Denton Plays Guy Anatole

AMC

Australian actor Nicholas Denton plays Guy Anatole (Dangerous Liaisons, Eden) in Talamasca: The Secret Order. Guy is an intelligent college law student on the brink of graduation. Before he graduates, Guy is recruited by the Talamasca, a secret collection of dedicated individuals who research, monitor, and investigate global supernatural phenomena relating to witches, vampires, and werewolves. Dubbed “psychic detectives” by author Anne Rice, Guy must learn to harness his psychic powers to assist the Talamasca while upholding his legal and moral obligations.

William Fichtner Plays Jasper

AMC

Veteran American actor William Fichtner (Heat, Mom) portrays Jasper in the latest Anne Rice TV adaptation. Jasper is a charming and intelligent American agent who has assumed a leadership role within the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse. Always keeping his motives and agendas shrouded in secrecy, Jasper’s quiet intensity masks his mysterious ambitions as Guy Anatole is recruited by the Talamasca overseas.

Elizabeth McGovern Plays Helen

AMC

Accomplished American actor Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey, War of the Worlds) plays Helen, the leader of the Talamasca’s New York Motherhouse. A shrewd member of The Secret Order for years, Helen senses something amiss with the Talamasca’s London Motherhouse following a mysterious death. Helen is the one who actively recruits Guy Anatole and deploys his keen psychic powers to prove her longstanding suspicion that there are traitors in the organization.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers Plays Olive

AMC

The Originals and Wolf Hall alum Maisie Richardson-Sellers portrays Olive in The Secret Order. Olive is an enchanting member of the Talamasca secret society, assigned to be Guy Anatole’s American consigliere. Adept at espionage and a master of disguises, Olive uses her ability to go undercover to spy on supernatural creatures. Given her genre experience, fans can expect Richardson-Sellers to face off with plenty of vampires and werewolves.

Jason Schwartzman Plays Burton

AMC

American actor Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, Bored to Death) plays Burton in The Secret Order, an elegant vampire dwelling in a swanky penthouse in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. While it’s unclear how Burton relates to the Talamasca, given his proximity to Guy Anatole in New York, the two are bound to cross paths in the show at some point. With over 90 career credits, Talamasca: The Secret Order marks Schwartzman’s first TV horror foray.

Eric Bogosian Plays Daniel Molloy

AMC

Esteemed American actor and playwright Eric Bogosian (Talk Radio, SubUrbia) portrays Daniel Molloy, one of the few crossover characters from Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. Molloy is a jaded septuagenarian investigative journalist beset with Parkinson’s disease. Molloy was bitten and transformed into a vampire in Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire after interviewing Lestat, a storyline that is likely to play a prominent role in Talamasca’s first season.

Céline Buckens Plays Doris

AMC

Belgian actor Céline Buckens (Warrior, The Ex-Wife) has been cast to play Doris in Talamasca: The Secret Order. Doris is a witch who dwells on a houseboat with a coven. While the coven’s motives and Doris’s supernatural powers are unknown, Doris’s activities will undoubtedly be monitored by the Talamasca.
