For CARA, who grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and now calls Los Angeles home, the experience was a manifestation of everything she stands for as an artist. “Performing at Lumiere Runway felt like stepping into a world where fashion, music, and storytelling collide,” CARA reflected after the show. “The energy in the room was unmatched. Every designer, artist, and guest brought something special. It was an honor to be part of such a powerful celebration of creativity and culture.”

Lumiere Runway has long been known for bringing together live music and high fashion to create unforgettable spectacles. As attendees gathered in The Atrium for this year’s Los Angeles Fashion Week (SS26) edition, anticipation built for CARA’s Special Live Music Performance, a headlining act that left everyone talking.
During the performance, CARA took the stage with confidence, delivering a set that included a fan favorite and a newly-released track from her highly-anticipated album, The Kronicles. The highlight, however, came when she performed her emotional song, “TEARS,” a record that has quickly become one of her defining works. Released earlier this summer, “TEARS” is the second chapter of The Kronicles, a concept album that chronicles CARA’s own journey through heartbreak, resilience, and change. The track’s recent music video debut further solidified its status as a milestone in her career, representing her evolution as an artist.
“Rehearsals for the event were intense, but inspiring,” CARA shared. “I wanted movement that felt authentic.” To achieve this, CARA choreographed dancers who brought incredible energy and chemistry, and they focused on connecting with the audience. “Seeing people connect emotionally with my performance reminded me why I do this,” CARA shared.
In addition to performing, CARA also made her runway debut at Lumiere Runway, walking for designer Rossario George. Her look for the night was sensual and powerful. Working closely with Rossario George, CARA wanted her outfit to reflect the emotional depth of “TEARS” while showing off her strength and femininity. The result was a beautiful custom ensemble that turned heads on and off the stage.
When asked about being a part of the fashion show, CARA beamed. “Walking the runway at LAFW was such a vibe! It was all about Rossario George and how the design made me feel confident and fierce in my first runway appearance. It’s about owning your space and is a form of performance in itself.” And whether she was leading the stage or strutting the catwalk, she was a living embodiment of the empowerment she sings about in her music.

Although the Lumiere Runway celebrated fashion’s forward motion, CARA’s performance also gave her audience a look into her next chapter. Her upcoming album, The Kronicles, is set for release in 2026. This album brings together her rise from a Texas-born songwriter to one of LA’s most promising independent artists. Each chapter of the album represents a different phase of her life, combining pop, electronic, and instrumental sounds into something completely unique.
The album’s breakout single, “BLVD,” introduced listeners to that world, placing CARA into the national spotlight. The song’s success, making her the second most-played independent artist on Mediabase’s Top 40 Pop charts, proved that her sound resonates with audiences who want authenticity. Now, with “TEARS” leading the next chapter, CARA is preparing for what is to come.
“I’m grateful to Lumiere Runway and Meler Productions for providing a space where music, fashion, and purpose come together.” she said. “This event represents empowerment and creative freedom, values that are at the heart of The Kronicles and everything I do.”
As CARA continues to rise, her impact is about inspiring others to embrace their authenticity and live freely. Her Lumiere Runway performance was a statement that art has no limits, and neither does she.
