Dua Lipa is making the case for backless dresses with her latest look. On March 14, the “Levitating” singer wore a black Khaite Dasa Crepe Midi Dress while attending the inauguration of Texas’s first Albanian language school. “The center promotes Albanian culture, art and music while offering language classes for 5-15 year olds ❤️,” wrote Dua, whose parents are Kosovo Albanian, on her Instagram Stories.
At first glance, the dress is formal but chic, with the asymmetrical hemline hitting just above her ankles. But a quick pirouette in her Bottega Veneta leather knee-high boots revealed a strappy criss-cross design that beautifully elevated the simple silhouette. “I like dancing in my new frock,” she captioned a video of herself twirling in the backless dress. Dua’s stylist, Lorenzo Posocco, paired the look with an Eéra Tokyo 18-karat and pavé diamond mono earring and Bare by Dries “Brute Diamanti” earrings.
