Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is officially a Galia Lahav bride-to-be. Just one month after getting engaged to Houston Texans player Jonathan Owens, Biles posted that she secured not one but two wedding dresses from the iconic bridal brand, with one being the first design she tried on during her fitting. Lahav is renowned for using meticulous sewing techniques alongside fellow in-house designer Sharon Sever, and there are not many gowns that rival their couture work. On Saturday, April 15, Biles picked up her two designs capturing scenes from the final appointment with a mirror selfie. The 26-year-old gymnast opted for an athleisure outfit consisting of biker shorts, a cropped tank, and brown leather trench.
Biles and Owens, 27, confirmed they’ll be tying the knot on the beach at a destination wedding that’s clearly happening quite soon, now that the bride’s wardrobe is complete. In a Q&A posted to Biles’s Instagram stories, the couple revealed their color scheme for the big day, which is gold, white, and champagne. So it’s safe to assume the decor, wedding party, and even some of the guests will follow that palette.
Throughout the last several months, Biles has also revealed other details via Instagram, including the Prada satin mini bag with crystals she’s planning to wear for wedding festivities.
While we can’t be sure exactly what dress silhouettes she chose, the Galia Lahav team shared photos of Biles sifting through some options during her first visit to the boutique, which you can enjoy ahead. Being that she and Owens love to travel, we wouldn’t be surprised if the atelier incorporates custom details that speak to the destination the couple chose for their big day.
Scroll to see every fashion snippet we’ve seen so far in anticipation of the wedding, then reminisce about the 88-pound dress Biles pulled off at the 2021 Met Gala, which is enough promise that she can carry any look with confidence.
