The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Raises $12.3 Million With Blizzard!
In its latest fundraising achievement, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) has raised $12.3 million! The nonprofit’s new feat stems from its partnership with Blizzard Entertainment—the company behind hit video game series Overwatch—and its new “Mercy for a Cause” summer campaign. “Mercy for a Cause” raised funds through the Overwatch 2 game, which included purchasable skins-in-game costumes—plus a hero character, Mercy. Previously, the pair joined forces in 2018 and raised $12.7 million, which funds the BCRF’s mission to cure and prevent breast cancer, as well as continue its research worldwide. However, this is just the start of the duo’s partnership—the most recent donations and research will be shared by BCRF and Overwatch 2 soon!
