2022 American Music Awards Winners

The winners of the 2022 American Music Awards are officially in! The annual ceremony kicked off at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 20, with Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and Beyoncé snagging multiple awards before the live show even started.

This year’s American Music Awards were hosted by actor, musician, and all around entertainer Wayne Brady. “I’m ecstatic and honored to host this year’s AMAs. As a musician and music lover, it’s amazing to be part of a night where music fans make their voices heard!” said Brady in a previous statement. “It’s a big show, so I’m bringing it all…The funny, the music, and the moves!”

The full slate of American Music Awards nominees were unveiled on Oct. 13, kicking off with the best new artist category, which was presented by Becky G on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Dove Cameron, GAYLE, Latto, Måneskin, and Steve Lacy all scored nods following their successful year in music, but it was ultimately Cameron who took home the trophy on Sunday. During the show, Anitta was crowned favorite female Latin artist, Harry Styles won best pop song for “As It Was,” and Swift continued her historic streak of being the most awarded artist of all time at the ceremony.

The star-studded event also included performances by Pink, GloRilla featuring Cardi B, and a special tribute performance to Lionel Richie.
