Pulling out the big guns for this promotion! Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay has announced that anyone who pre-orders her memoir ‘My Good Side’ will receive free temporary tattoos embossed with her motto: “It’s All Happening.”

Scheana was less than subtle in reminding followers about the promo while looking glammed up on Instagram. “If you’ve been putting off pre-ordering my book… consider this your sign,” she wrote under the video clip. Fans need to submit their pre-order receipt to mygoodsidebook.com in order to claim the tattoos while supplies last.
The announcement, of course, kick-started fan reactions. One was elated and wrote, “Can’t wait to get my copy! So proud of you.” Others chimed in with comments such as “Pre-ordered mine! Can’t wait!” It was truly an exhilarating atmosphere surrounding the project.
Yet, the backlash was not all along the happy wavelengths. One cynic quipped, “Let me guess? The book is all about you!” A second person added: “Of course it is.” There can be little doubt that this accepts the almost bimodal stance celebrities are nearly always met with when egotistically promoting their own projects.
Many practical questions about the promotion came up, with a fan asking “Does it work if you preordered on Amazon?” Another wanted to know if buying the audiobook would count. Scheana has yet to clarify, and for many, that still leaves them in limbo.
One particularly cheeky response said, “‘Send it to mine and Ty’s house and I’ll read it on stream bedtime story style’.” This illustrates the fans already imagining all the fun ways they can support Scheana’s story.
That is to say, of course, beneath the commercial face of temporary tattoos and the campaign is truly singing muffled hype—the body of comments is brimming with people sharing their pre-order confirmations. For the cases wine Scheana or just intrigued by her life story, this little incentive might be enough to convince the still-hesitant to put their money down.
While it hasn’t given a set date for the book release, at the very least, the uproar over the pre-order promotion certainly has it scheduled for some time in the very near future. Judging by the top reaction, It’s All Happening tattoos will be adorably worn by the masses awaiting a copy of the book.
Here’s how Scheana’s route seems to be forming: celebrities are now starting to think outside the box for book promotion in the age of social media. Instead of doing woody little book signings or reading sessions, they’re leaning towards these almost silly perks that get the entire internet raving. The question, however, remains—whether those little perks actually boost sales. One thing, though: copywriters, artists, producers, everyone in the entertainment industry are talking about it.
The book would probably cover days lived with Vanderpump Rules, relationships, and attempts at breaking into the entertainment field by Scheana. Bursting with energy on the show, it undoubtedly begs to be littered with juicy tidbits for the hungry reader.
Whether the book will ever live up to the hype is still to be seen, but for now, the temporary tattoo promotion has brought much-needed attention to ‘My Good Side.’ The promotional campaign is a clever mix of Scheana’s goofy personality and cunning marketing—aptly titled reality TV’s queen of implementation moments.
