George Clooney and Julia Roberts are truly a class act, especially whenever they’re together. The longtime friends star alongside each other in the new rom-com, “Ticket to Paradise,” as exes who team up to stop their daughter’s wedding. In an exclusive interview with POPSUGAR, the two hilariously talk about everything from Clooney’s famous pranks to their first paychecks and surprising hidden talents. What’s something Roberts does really well? “Drinking,” Clooney jokes. “I’m a really good drinker,” she confirms. “I stay hydrated 24/7.” When it comes to her hidden talent, it’s doing laundry. “I take it very seriously,” she tells us. “I can wash anything. [Clooney’s] never smelled so Downy fresh.” “Not a stain on my clothes,” Clooney adds.
Now, on the flip side, there’s something Roberts says Clooney is really bad at — and it’s certainly not his prankster stunts. “If George isn’t telling you the truth, he’s not talking to you,” Roberts says. “That was a very nice thing you said,” Clooney quips back.
While Clooney jests that his iconic pranks have only gotten “crueler” over the years — they “last longer” and “cut deeper” — he’s still trying to be the best at fatherhood. The dad of two shares that he originally “panicked” when he learned he and his wife, Amal Clooney, were having twins. But the actor’s “Ticket to Paradise” costar was there to support with parenting advice. “What did I say?” Roberts asks Clooney. “Don’t do it!” he jokes. “No, you said that it’s gonna be the greatest joy in my life,” he adds. “And you said that they’re going to be supportive and take care of one another. Because I was panicked ’cause I thought I was getting one. It ends up being two, [which] is a really great thing.”
