The Night Agent has returned for a second season, but it almost seems like an entirely new show. While both Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) and Rose (Luciane Buchanan) return to reprise their roles, the rest of the cast is largely made up of actors playing new characters. The good news is that the story still centers around Peter and reflects the new trajectory of his life and career.
What fans will instantly notice is that among the new faces are many that look familiar. While these actors might not be ones most people know instantly by name, their faces are undoubtedly ones that have been seen before in other projects.

The Most Recognizable New Cast Members
Brittany Snow as Alice
Netflix
The first familiar face to see is that of Brittany Snow, who plays Alice, Peter’s Night Action mentor and training partner. She showed him the ropes and put him through grueling training, then has been working with him ever since. The series begins as the two are on their first mission together.
Snow is best known for her lead role in the Pitch Perfect movies, in which she plays Chloe Beale, leader of the Bellas a cappella group. She got her start in the soap opera Guiding Light before shifting to movies like John Tucker Music Die, Hairspray, and Prom Night. She continued to appear in TV shows like Harry’s Law and Almost Family. In 2023, she directed her first film called Parachute, which premiered at the SXSW festival. Snow is also outspoken about the issue of bullying, co-founding the movement Love is Louder for Jed Foundation.
Amanda Warren as Catherine Weaver
Netflix
Then, there’s Amanda Warren, who plays Peter and Alice’s handler Catherine Weaver. She’s the person that gives them assignments and that they call when they need help. She is by all intents and purposes the boss and calls the shots for all the Night Action agents. But she also isn’t afraid to get her own hands dirty if a situation calls for it.
Warren starred in the HBO drama The Leftovers as Lucy Warburton, the mayor of Mapleton trying to navigate all the drama in town. She also appeared as Betty in the Apple TV+ series Dickinson. Warren has had guest roles in various other shows as well, including the Gossip Girl reboot, The Good Wife, and Law & Order. Additionally, she appeared in the movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Louis Herthum as Jacob Monroe
HBO
Louis Herthum plays the mysterious, powerful and wealthy businessman Jacob Monroe, a broker who sits at the center of the case Peter is investigating. If he looks familiar, that is because fans have seen just about all of Herthum before: he was in the series Westworld, often completely unclothed, playing the android host Peter Abarnathy. His character, fans of that show will recall, was the father of android host Dolores Abernathy, played by Evan Rachel Wood. Herthum also had a recurring role on the series Murder, She Wrote.
Teddy Sears as Warren
The CW
The first subject that Peter is following is a man named Warren, who is played by Teddy Sears. He has been selling information to a mysterious person, but Peter and Alice can’t figure out what and to whom. Sears starred as Patrick on the first season of American Horror Story. He’s also known as Dr. Austin Langham on Masters of Sex and for playing the supervillain Hunter Zolomon/Zoom in the series The Flash.
