Rachel Zegler is not the only singer who will show off her skills in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. With The Hunger Games prequel premiering next week, the film’s soundtrack has been revealed, and it includes a song by Olivia Rodrigo. Rodrigo, who began her career as an actress in the film An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success, has become one of the most popular musicians nowadays, especially after starring in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical : The Series, where she displayed all her talent as a singer. Her songs quickly positioned her as one of the most listened to artists, and she has grown incredibly in recent years.
Just as the original Hunger Games saga once included songs from popular artists like Taylor Swift with her famous song Safe & Sound, it is not a surprise that someone like Rodrigo contributes with her music for the upcoming film. Through her Twitter page, the singer shared the song Can’t Catch Me Now, which will be part of the soundtrack of the long-awaited prequel that hits theaters on November 17.

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ Music Is Deeply Connected to the Original Saga
The soundtrack, which will be available from November 3 on digital platforms, also includes a new version of The Hanging Tree, a song that fans of the franchise will easily recognize. Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen sings that song that eventually becomes an emblem for the rebellion of the Districts against the Capitol, and in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes its origin will be explained, since it is Rachel Zegler’s Lucy Gray Baird herself who wrote that song and sings it in the movie.
