This year’s BAFTA Film Awards nominations are being announced today (January 15).
The contenders for this year’s ceremony – which takes place on February 16 – are due to be confirmed at 12pm GMT. The nominations can be streamed live below.
The ceremony is the most prestigious film awards in the UK, and a big part of awards season internationally, which will culminate with the Oscars on March 3. They offer a glimpse at who has momentum going into the Academy Awards, with BAFTA’s winners in the six major categories matching up with the Oscars last year.
This year’s BAFTA Film Awards will be hosted by David Tennant, his second time in the position after a divisive stint hosting last year’s ceremony.
The 2024 BAFTAs saw big victories for Oppenheimer after winning seven awards, with the movie going on to another seven at the Oscars, including Best Picture. Other notable BAFTA winners were Poor Things with five awards, The Zone of Interest with three and The Holdovers with two.
