James Blake, Jessie Ware and more announced for Choose Love’s 10th anniversary fundraiser at Royal Albert Hall

Global humanitarian charity Choose Love has announced a special 10th anniversary fundraiser event this November featuring James Blake, Jessie Ware and more.

The event, titled 10 Years Of Choose Love, is slated to take place on November 20 at the Royal Albert Hall, with a special roster of performers, celebrity guests and more. Among the names and organisations announced to perform or appear onstage so far are James Blake, Jessie Ware, Mabel, Jameela Jamil, Jordan Stephens, House Gospel Chour, Max Porter, Letters Live and Little Amal.

Per a press release, Choose Love’s parters from Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and more will also be present and will take the stage over the course of the night. More guests and performers are due to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets to 10 Years Of Choose Love  – which is being co-presented by Live Nation and The Roof Gardens – will be made available this Friday (October 3) at 10am local time via the Royal Albert Hall and Ticketmaster. Additionally, all 100 per cent of ticket prices (minus platform and booking fees) will go directly and entirely to the Choose Love organisation for its efforts across the globe.

In a press statement, James Blake shared: “I’m a believer in music and in humanity. Choose Love make sure that funds go to people around the world who need them most, and I’m delighted to play at their 10th birthday party to celebrate an organisation I know make a real difference.”

Meanwhile, Jameela Jamil said: “I’ve been a supporter of Choose Love since its inception. I am always incredibly proud to stand alongside this organisation and am in awe of what they have achieved and what they continue to do. Here’s to another 10 years!”

“When you realise that the people you’ve looked up to your whole life are actually great, and they actually stand for the principles you hoped they would, it’s an incredible feeling” – Jameela Jamil on feeling inspired by seeing the likes of Damon Albarn, Massive Attack, Portishead and Eric Cantona come out for Together For Palestine @T4PL last night.⁣ ⁣ Hit the link in bio for our full interview⁣ ⁣ #JameelaJamil #TogetherForPalestine #damonalbarn #massiveattack #fyp

Mabel added: “I’m a big admirer of Choose Love and the work they do so to be a part of the 10th birthday means a lot. I’m going to bring all my energy to celebrate the incredible legacy that Choose Love has already built and the amazing things that are yet to come!”
In May, Choose Love urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer to “end UK complicity” in Gaza via an open letter that was signed by the likes of Dua Lipa, Massive Attack, Primal Scream and many more.

Starmer responded to the letter in July, saying the UK Government has “made it clear to the Government of Israel that the level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable.” He added: “It is also wholly inadequate that the Government of Israel is only allowing a basic quantity of food into Gaza.”

Choose Love and the aforementioned signees later hit back at the Prime Minister, saying his reply “does not meet the urgency or clarity this moment demands,” adding: “We need actions not words.”

Most recently, Choose Love served as the charity partner for the Brian Eno-led historic fundraising concert Together for Palestine at London’s Wembley Arena. The night saw huge performances from Damon AlbarnPaul WellerCat BurnsRachel Chinouriri, Yasiin Bey, Bastille’s Dan Smith and more, and had presenters including Richard GereBenedict CumberbatchFlorence Pugh, and more.

Per a press release, the event raised  £1.7million for the ‘Together For Palestine Fund’, which will be distributed to Palestinian-led organisations such as TaawonPalestine Children’s Relief Fund and Palestine Medical Relief Service.
