Øya festival 2026 adds Geese, Blood Orange, Mogwai, Wilco, Clipse and Dagny

Øya Festival has added more names to the 2026 line-up, including Geese, Blood Orange, Mogwai and more.

Next year’s instalment is set to return to Tøyen Park in Oslo, Norway, between Wednesday August 12 and Saturday August 15.

At the start of October, The Cure were announced as the first headliners, and Amyl & The Sniffers were also confirmed as part of the bill.

Later, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds were revealed as topping the bill as part of their 2026 European tour, and last month a third wave of artists were confirmed, with CMAT, Sombr, Underworld and Lambrini Girls among the new names.

Today (Wednesday December 3), organisers have added even more names to the line-up, and confirmed that Dagny will be headlining the main stage on Saturday August 15. The slot comes following the Norwegian pop star racking up over a billion streams and becoming one of Scandinavia’s most prominent artists with her two albums, 2020’s ‘Strangers/Lovers’ and 2024’s ‘Elle’.

French electronic artist Oklou and Scottish post-rock icons Mogwai are also new names confirmed today, both set to perform on the opening night (Wednesday August 12). Songwriter and producer Blood Orange is now set to take to the stage the following night too (Thursday August 13).

Indie rock and Americana band Wilco are also joining the 2026 bill, as are New York four piece Geese. For the former, the slot comes following them releasing their live concert film ‘Wilco Live’ earlier this year, and for Geese, the gig comes amid huge critical acclaim for their latest album ‘Getting Killed’, as well as recent praise from Nick Cave.

Other new names include Virginia hip-hop duo Clipse, who are making their first appearance since dropping their first album in 15 years, as well as London rapper Jim Legxacy, rising indie folk group Westside Cowboy, producer and songwriter Dijon, and Bristol duo Get Down Services.

Local Scandinavian artists have also been added to the bill, and include Norwegian acts Gjenfødt Kultur, Ea Othilde, ELIA, and Ragnhild og, as well as Swedish band Sunnan.

The 2025 festival saw Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Queens Of The Stone Age and Girl In Red headline, and they were joined on the bill by  Fontaines D.C., Kneecap, Wet Leg, Beth Gibbons, Lola Young, Heartworms, Kelly Lee Owens, Khruangbin and more.

NME spoke to festival boss Claes Olsen at this year’s instalment, and he opened up about his commitment to creating a platform that helps artists rise up the ranks.

“I like to see bands grow organically to that,” he explained. “There are a few smaller acts that I think are really, really good. We have a great story with Girl In Red, who played our demo stage in her first year [in 2018] and now she’s headlining.”

He continued: “People always ask, ‘Who’s the next big thing?’ You never know. In April last year, when we started talking to Charli XCX and Chappell Roan, we weren’t discussing headline slots in the beginning, then things just grew and grew.”
