There are some big PlayStation announcements coming tonight

PlayStation has confirmed a last-minute State Of Play presentation for tonight (February 12) with plenty of big announcements on the way.

“State Of Play is back,” wrote Sony in a dedicated blog. “Tune in live for news and updates on great games coming to PS5. The show celebrates a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world.”

The 40-minute stream will start at 10pm GMT tonight and can be viewed on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

No further details about the stream have been confirmed but industry insider Tom Warren did post a cryptic message on Bluesky shortly after the State Of Play was announced. “April gonna be a good month for PS5 gamers,” he wrote.

Earlier this year, it was reported several Xbox-exclusive games could be coming to rival consoles. Several insiders claimed titles such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Age Of Mythology and Gears Of War 1: Ultimate Edition could all make the leap to PlayStation, with fans speculating that confirmation will come during tonight’s State Of Play.

There are also rumours about the long-awaited remake of Bloodbourne after Sony teased fans would be rewarded for their “persistence” at the very end of last year. Sony recently forced the takedown of two long-running, fanmade Bloodborne projects, with creators suggesting it’s because an official remake is in the works.

Fans are expecting more of Ghost Of Tsushima sequel Ghost Of Yōtei to be showcased during the stream too, as well as news on Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. The sequel is due out at some point in 2025 but a firm release date has yet to be confirmed. It’s a similar story for Grand Theft Auto 6, but news about that will likely be shared by developers Rockstar, rather than Sony.

There’s also a chance Sony will address what caused its PlayStation Network to go offline for 24 hours over the weekend.

In other news, it turns out streamer Kai Cenat and Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire are friends, and the internet can’t cope.
