Who was killed on The Traitors this week?

After two seasons and several other versions around the world, The Traitors is still one of the most watched reality shows on TV.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the third season sees 25 contestants compete for a prize fund worth up to £120,000 at a castle in the Scottish Highlands.

At the castle, several contestants are selected to be “Traitors” who have to conceal their identity and eliminate the “Faithfuls” to claim the prize. If the Faithfuls manage to banish all the Traitors through daily roundtable meetings however, all the surviving contestants will win the cash prize instead.

The BBC renewed the show for a fourth season last year, with a nine-episode celebrity edition also in the pipeline.

Who left The Traitors season 3 in week one?

The opening episode introduced all 25 contestants, albeit with a train carriage twist before they even stepped into the castle. Three contestants had to nominate themselves to leave the train, unaware of what the outcome would be.

The contestants who chose to leave the train were Alexander Dragonetti, Fozia Fasil, and Jack Marriner-Brown, who were all temporarily removed from the game.

With the Traitors threatened by her suspicions and intellect as a Doctor of Communication, Yin Lü was the first contestant to be murdered in season three.

Banished: Nathan Khider (Faithful)

Despite growing suspicions against Traitor Linda at the roundtable, eight players voted to oust 39-year-old property consultant Nathan. The decision was based on very little evidence, outside of his quiet demeanour.

Murdered: Keith Stewart (Faithful)

Considered a strong and likeable character in the group, window cleaner Keith became the second person to be murdered by the Traitors.

Banished: Elen Wyn (Faithful)

After being pegged as suspicious by other players, coupled with her belief that the majority of the Traitors would be “strong females”, translator Elen was banished from the game.

“Once your name is out there, it’s really tough to save yourself,” she told the BBC.

Banished: Armani Gouveia (Traitor)

The players managed to banish their first Traitor in the third episode, as Armani’s brash and commanding approach quickly worked against her. Her fate was sealed after her own sister, Maia Gouveia, admitted having suspicions about her behaviour.

Who left in week two?

At the start of the second week of episodes, previously eliminated contestants Alexander Dragonetti, Fozia Fasil, and Jack Marriner-Brown were brought back in a challenge which saw them hanging in cages in the forest.

Players could save only two of the three hanging contestants, who would then join the game from this point on. After making convincing arguments, Alexander and Fozia were saved by the players, while Yorkshire-born market trader Jack was sent home.

Murdered: Maia Gouveia (Faithful)

After her sister was banished in the last roundtable, the Traitors chose to murder Maia to take out what could have been a formidable opponent. Her death also cast suspicions on Freddie, who previously targeted her during the last roundtable.

Banished: Kasim Ahmed (Faithful)

In what felt like an unfortunate inevitability, Kasim was banished from the group for simply being too nice and – in Jake’s mind at least – because he is a doctor. Armani was the one who sealed his fate during a previous roundtable after she inexplicably vouched for him, leaving the other players convinced he was also a Traitor.

Banished: Tyler Smith (Faithful)

Despite the heat on Freddie, the tide turned against 29-year-old barber Tyler at the roundtable as Leon and Leanne began to suspect someone within their inner circle. His departure caused a particularly emotional response from Livi, who stormed off in tears because of the decision.

Murdered: Livi Deane (Faithful)

To put Freddie further in the firing line, the Traitors decided to kill 26-year-old beautician and model Livi following her emotional outburst at the roundtable.

Banished: Dan Bird (Faithful)

Despite not being on anyone’s radar prior to the episode, Dan’s lies during the challenge became his undoing at the roundtable. He was confronted by both Leanne and Minah, who put the spotlight on his hidden truths to the rest of the group.
