Adams joins Rams on 2-year deal worth reported $46M

Wide receiver Davante Adams is joining the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced Sunday.

Sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that Adams is signing a two-year, $46-million contract that includes $26 million guaranteed.

It was previously reported that Adams wanted to play for a West Coast team on a contract worth more than $20 million a year.

The 32-year-old split the 2024 campaign between the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders. The Jets traded a third-round pick for Adams midseason, pairing him with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers.

New York released Adams earlier in March after the team reportedly failed to find a trade partner for the veteran. Rodgers is also set to hit the open market, with the Jets moving on from him following a two-year marriage.

Adams tallied 85 receptions for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, his 11th NFL season.

Adams is a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro. He has 957 catches, 11,844 yards, and 103 touchdowns in his career, and has led the NFL in receiving TDs twice.

The Rams are retooling their offense after agreeing to restructure Matthew Stafford’s contract, which keeps the Super Bowl-winning quarterback in L.A. for the 2025 season.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles is expected to move on from star wideout Cooper Kupp this offseason. The Rams informed the former Super Bowl MVP that they’ll attempt to trade him.

Adams will join a wide receiver room that also includes Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell, who re-signed with L.A. on a one-year deal earlier this month.
