The Seattle Seahawks signed reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba to a four-year, $168.6-million extension, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Smith-Njigba’s reported new agreement would make him the highest-paid receiver in NFL history, averaging $42.15 million per year. The deal also includes over $120 million in guaranteed money, adds Schefter.
The star wideout’s extension comes just days after the Seahawks picked up the fifth-year options on the rookie deals of Smith-Njigba and cornerback Devon Witherspoon. Smith-Njigba will now be under contract with Seattle through the 2031 season.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2025 campaign, catching 119 passes for a league-leading 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns to earn a first-team All-Pro nod.
Smith-Njigba also tallied 17 receptions for 199 yards and two scores during Seattle’s Super Bowl LX title run.
