Jesse Pinkman is back in a teaser released for the Super Bowl ad that will also feature Bryan Cranston’s Walter White.

Heisenberg won’t be alone when the Breaking Bad protagonist makes his return for PopCorners’ upcoming Super Bowl ad, as his old partner in crime will be right there alongside him. PopCorners officially announced on Thursday that Aaron Paul is reprising the role of Jesse Pinkman to appear in the Super Bowl LVII ad alongside Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston, also returning as Walter “Heisenberg” White. A video teaser featuring Paul has also been released to help build some hype for the full ad, and you can check that out below.

The teaser features Paul’s Pinkman back in the Albuquerque desert, seated on a lawn chair and enjoying a bag of PopCorners White Cheddar. A cell phone can be heard ringing as the camera pans over to reveal an empty lawn chair along with a rather familiar RV next to Jesse, and it’s pretty easy to surmise who’s inside the vehicle. This is described by PopCorners as the “first” video teaser for the full Super Bowl ad, meaning we could end up seeing a little more of Walt and/or Jesse promoting the snack food ahead of the big game.

A look at Cranston’s return as Walter White was also revealed in a previously-released photo. The picture features Heisenberg holding his own bag of the tasty treat, and sharing the image to Instagram, Cranston expressed his excitement over reprising that role once again.

The legacy of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman has been enduring, even with Breaking Bad wrapping up its five-season run in 2013. Since then, Cranston and Paul have both reprised their roles for Netflix’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie in 2019. They also returned in 2022 for appearances in the final season of the spinoff series Better Call Saul. When that show ended last year, it was looking like fans had seen the last of those characters, but it hasn’t even been a year later before the two returned to the RV, even for the sake of a non-canon Super Bowl commercial.

“I love Pinkman,” Paul told THR last year, suggesting he was finished with the role. “He will always have a special place inside of me, but I can confidently say that [Better Call Saul] was the last time we’re going to see Pinkman. So it was a nice farewell.”
