The White Lotus season 3 might be headed to Japan, according to Johhny Knoxville.

Johnny Knoxville might have provided a major detail on what’s next for the HBO series The White Lotus. While the fans are patiently waiting for the third season of The White Lotus, which is rumored to be released in the early 2024, Knoxville just spilled some details on where the cast and crew might be headed to film the show.
The third season has always been speculated to be filmed in Asia, however fans thought that it would most likely be filmed in Thailand. Things took a turn after Johnny Knoxville seemingly confirmed that the series might be filmed in Japan.
During an interview with Vulture, the comedian was asked to consider appearing in The White Lotus if he was offered anything on the show, he replied, “Are you kidding? Mike White is a very close friend of mine. He and I had been in Tokyo together. I think that’s where the next … oh, I’m not giving anything away. I might call him again as soon as this is over.” He added, “I might call him again as soon as this is over.”
Mike White is the creator of the series, and he’s been dropping hints on where they’re headed for the forthcoming season. The creator has indirectly confirmed that season three will be filmed in Asia. In his interview held last December 2022 White said, “And I think the third season, it would be maybe a kind of satirical and funny look at death in Eastern religion and spirituality — it feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

Nothing is Confirmed for The White Lotus Season 3

Each season, The White Lotus exhibits the beauty of various White Lotus resorts. Season one sees the beauty of Hawaii while the second season showcased the stunning scenery in Sicily. The series was just renewed by HBO late last year and is reportedly still in the works.
Nothing is confirmed yet for the upcoming season, as even the cast members weren’t announced yet. Each season sees different cast members with the exception of Jennifer Coolidge being present for both installments. Despite this, the fans might see some familiar faces returning to the series but nothing is confirmed at this point. Johnny Knoxville might surprisingly appear on the series as well.
Although Mike White would love nothing more but to work with previous The White Lotus crew he’s collaborated with as he said, “There’s no place I’d rather work than HBO and there’s no people I’d rather partner with than Casey Bloys, Francesca Orsi, Nora Skinner and their incredible team. I feel so lucky to get this opportunity again and am excited to reunite with my amazingly talented collaborators on The White Lotus.”
