Randall Park Still Wants a Jimmy Woo & Darcy Spinoff Series in the MCU

While Randall Park will soon be starring in the new comedy series Blockbuster at Netflix, he’s keeping the door open for Jimmy Woo to get his own show at Disney+. In 2021, Park and Kat Dennings returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by appearing as Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis in the hit series WandaVision. At the time, many fans who enjoyed their chemistry were calling for the two to get their own spinoff show in the vein of The X-Files with Jimmy and Darcy investigating bizarre mysteries in the MCU.

In a new interview with ComicBook.com, Park addressed his involvement in the MCU. The idea that he could co-star with Dennings in a WandaVision spinoff was brought up, and Park noted how he remembers when that pitch took off on social media. As for whether he’d still be on board to go down that route, Park had this to say:

“I want to.”

Darcy Lewis made an appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder and it has been revealed that Park will also return as Jimmy Woo in the upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Potentially, Park getting his own spinoff series could still happen, but if it does, don’t expect for him to reveal the surprise. Here’s what the actor, who’s also a part of the DCEU with his role in Aquaman, had to say about which cinematic universe had him more worried about accidentally divulging spoilers.

“Oh gosh, you know, I’m not afraid of either, because I’m so good. I’m so good, and, uh, you know, I love being a part of both universes, so I’m not going to let anything slip. So you can try me. Nothing will slip.”

Randall Park Can Be Seen in Blockbuster

Netflix

For now, fans of Park will be able to catch him as one of the stars of the new comedy series Blockbuster. Coming soon to Netflix, the series features Park working at the only Blockbuster video rental store that’s still in operation in the United States. The series will be sure to bring nostalgic vibes to anyone who misses looking for the right movie to rent at Blockbuster stores in the years before Netflix and other streaming services took over.

Blockbuster will start streaming on Nov. 3, 2022, on Netflix. You can also catch Park on the big screen by watching the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania when it hits theaters on Feb. 17, 2023.
