Scott Adkins

returns with another blistering action movie in the upcoming revenge flick, Diablo. Arriving in cinemas and on digital platforms on June 13, 2025, Adkins fans will know exactly what to expect when they see the John Wick star’s name above the title, and it looks like they will not be disappointed by what they see.

Fans have been used to seeing several of Adkins’ films popping up on various streaming platforms recently, and the actor certainly has plenty of them to go around. Diablo will not be added to the list, with the butt-kicking favorite working with acclaimed Chilean filmmaker Ernesto Díaz Espinoza, known for gritty martial arts movies like Redeemer and The Fist of the Condor. The synopsis for the movie reads:

“After his release from prison, one man makes it his mission to right a terrible wrong by revealing a secret that could end his life. Scott Adkins stars as Kris Chaney, a warrior who seizes the daughter of a Colombian gangster to fulfill a noble promise to the young girl’s mother. When her father enlists both the criminal underworld and the terrifying psychotic killer El Corvo to exact his revenge, Kris will need to draw upon everything he has ever learned — in and out of lockup — to stay alive and keep his word.”

Having hit his groove after starring in the Undisputed trilogy and making an appearance in the Expendables and Universal Solider franchises, Adkins has become the king of direct-to-video thrillers that will always find an audience, especially now with many of them finding their way onto free streaming. In the last couple of years, Adkins has been making appearances in some big theatrical releases, such as John Wick: Chapter 4, Lights Out, and The Killer’s Game with Dave Bautista.

This year he has already released the Western action thriller, Day of Reckoning, and along with Diablo will release the WWII thriller, Prisoner of War, starring with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in RIP, and has Skyline: Warpath and Reckless also on his card.

For those who cannot wait for Diablo’s release to get their action fix, Adkins is currently riding high on the Starz chart with his 2020 release Seized topping the chart and The Killer’s Game sitting at number five. Meanwhile, Undisputed II: Last Man Standing has also landed recently on Tubi, where you can still catch it for free.
