Liam Neeson’s ‘Run All Night’ just hit free streaming, and it may deserve a reappraisal 10 years later.

‘Ice Road: Vengeance’ Makes Liam Neeson More of a Classic Action Hero Than the First Trip
Released by Netflix, the first The Ice Road finds Liam Neeson setting off with a team of truck drivers on a dangerous mission over frozen lakes and winter roads to help rescue workers trapped in a collapsed mine. The movie was largely panned by both critics and audiences alike, with the sequel seemingly leaning far more into the Non-Stop star’s action hero reputation by putting in the role of protector and pitting him against a band of “ruthless mercenaries” rather than the dangers of the road.
While the 72-year-old actor continues to threaten his imminent retirement from the action genre, Liam Neeson has several explosive projects currently in the pipeline, including Cold Storage, the action flick Hotel Tehran alongside Zachary Levi, the heist movie 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, and The Mongoose, which will follow Neeson as Ryan “Fang” Flanagan, a war hero who, after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit and with nothing to lose, leads police on an epic televised cross-country car chase.
Next up is the Neeson-led remake of the comedy classic The Naked Gun. Acting as a parody of both cop movies and Neeson’s own action flicks, the reboot/legacy sequel is directed by Akiva Schaffer and based on an original story written by Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane. The movie sees Neeson take over the franchise from the late, great Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin Jr., with the rest of the cast comprised of Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Rhodes, CCH Pounder, and Busta Rhymes. The Naked Gun is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2025, by Paramount Pictures.
