Don’t Worry Darling Cast at the Venice Film Festival

The cast of the highly anticipated “Don’t Worry Darling” film have descended upon the Venice Film Festival as real-life couple Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde promote their movie together for the first time. Joined by actors Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, and Florence Pugh on Sept. 5, the cast wowed in a series of show-stopping looks ahead of the film’s release on Sept. 23. Wilde walked the carpet in a yellow plunging custom Gucci gown adorned with metallic encrusted strands and a train detailed with a yellow feathered hemline. Styles, who started dating Wilde after working on the film, kept to his beloved ’70s style as he arrived in a blue double-breasted blazer, navy flared trousers, and a light-blue shirt with an oversize collar.

Pugh joined the rest of the cast for the first time, after arriving too late for the earlier photo call. The star wore a pair of high-waist briefs underneath a sheer black tulle dress decorated with silver specks. The off-the-shoulder gown split at the front to perfectly showcase her black, feathered ankle-strap heels. And in the cutest moment of the festival so far, Pugh brought her grandmother, called “Granzo Pat” on her Instagram, who posed alongside her famous granddaughter on the red carpet.

The actors then joined Sydney Chandler and Nick Kroll, who also star in the film, to pose for a cast photo to officially celebrate the upcoming release.

Earlier in the day, Wilde, Styles, Pine, and Chan reunited for the photo call and press conference, although fellow castmate Pugh was noticeably absent. As rumors have been swirling on social media about friction amongst the cast, Pugh’s absence was explained as her flight from Budapest, where she is currently filming “Dune: Part II,” was always going to arrive later in the afternoon, Deadline reported. Wilde even addressed the ongoing rumors in the press conference after one journalist asked her directly if there had been a falling out. Wilde, who also directs the film, responded, “I can’t say enough how honored I am to have her as our lead. She’s amazing in the film, and as for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute, I think it’s sufficiently well nourished.”
