Josie Award Winner Irene Michaels Guests On “Live on Tape with Pete Trabucco”

Excitement is building as Josie Award Winner Irene Michaels will be making a guest appearance on the hit radio show “Live with Pete Trabucco” on WWDB-AM Talk 860. The interview promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent, creativity and musical mastery and will air on Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at 2 PM ET.

Irene Michaels is a lifelong entertainer, entrepreneur, and accomplished equestrian, who has made it a priority to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. She discovered her passion for dance at the age of eleven and went on to a career as a dancer, model, actress, owner of a successful modeling agency, and producer. As an actress, she appeared in television, film, theater, and a recurring role in the popular daytime soap opera General Hospital.  Her film roles include Mickey One, Straight Talk, Cold Night Into Dawn, and River Made to Drown In.  In addition, she appears as herself in the documentary, Live at Mister Kelly’s.  Irene was also an Executive Producer of the docudrama, Betrayal: When the Government Took Over the Teamsters Union.

Irene is a singer, songwriter, musician and plays the guitar.  She is an active member of Chicago Cabaret Professionals.  She has performed as a vocalist in many venues, including Winter’s Jazz Club, Davenport’s, Le Piano, The Arcada Theatre, The Chicago Fine Arts Building, The Jazz Showcase, and her One Woman Show made its debut at the iconic Don’t Tell Mama cabaret in NYC in June of 2022.  Irene is also the lead singer and frontperson for Chicago-based SELL OUT sensation the OUR HOUSE BAND, produced by her Tony Award-winning husband, Arny Granat.

The Josie Award triumph for Irene is a significant achievement and was a breathtaking, unforgettable moment. This year Irene was also considered for a Grammy as well for her new release “What The World Needs Now is Love, originally written by Burt Bacharach and Hal Davis, and made famous by singer Jackie de Shannon. Irene was also on the Grammy ballot for “Best New Artist”.
