Invincible is close to airing new episodes again on Prime Video, and the series is making changes to its release schedule after last season. The popular, animated superhero series is entering its third season, and viewers keep getting drawn in by the adult humor, violence, famous actors, and more.
Invincible is based on a comic book series, and the show has been faithfully drawing inspiration from the books. Last season, Invincible split the season up into two parts, with the first half airing throughout November 2023 and the second half airing in the spring of 2024. The split left fans upset, as they had to wait to finish the season. It seems the show’s producers have learned from their mistakes, giving fans a new episode each week with no breaks.
Each episode of Invincible Season 3 will be streaming exclusively on Prime Video. Viewers need an Amazon Prime subscription to access the show. The streaming service also has the past two seasons of the show, as well as the hour-long special focusing on the character Atom Eve.
Season three will have a total of eight episodes across six weeks. The episode titles for the first three episodes have been revealed. In order, they are “You’re Not Laughing Now,” “A Deal With the Devil,” and “You Want a Real Costume, Right?”

Season 3’s interpersonal drama punches even harder than Omni-Man.
Season 3 Introduces More Characters and More Action
Season 3 brings some changes to Invincible. As mentioned in episode three’s title, Mark gets a new black and blue suit for some of the season. His half-brother, Oliver, has grown older as well and starts fighting alongside Mark, referring to himself as “Kid Omni-Man” in the trailer for the season. Omni-Man himself is stuck in prison on the planet Viltrum. The planet should play a large role this season as well, with a powerful Viltrumite warrior from the comics expected to appear at the end of the season.
Mark is still training with Cecil Stedman, director of the Global Defense Agency. However, the pair’s working relationship grows rocky as they start to lose each other’s trust. Mark grows more powerful, but he doesn’t trust Cecil’s methods as director of the GDA. In the trailer, Cecil tells Mark, “We can be the good guys, or we can be the guys that save the world.”
Season three will also introduce plenty of new characters, most of them foes standing in the way of Mark. Mr. Liu, the leader of a crime syndicate called The Order, emerges. Working under him is an assassin named Multi-Paul, voiced by Simu-Liu, who played Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aaron Paul, who starred in Breaking Bad as drug dealer Jesse Pinkman, plays an energy-absorbing villain with a vengeance against Mark, named Powerplex.

A Movie and Fourth Season Are on the Horizon for ‘Invincible’
Thankfully, Season 3 won’t be the last viewers see of Invincible and his friends. Season 4 of the series has already been greenlit by Prime Video. Production is in progress for the fourth season, so fans shouldn’t have to wait too long. The creators of the series have said they’d like the show to continue even longer as well, going all the way up to eight seasons, hopefully.
The fourth season of the show isn’t the only Invincible-related project in progress. Robert Kirkman, creator of the Invincible comic-book series, is working on a live-action Invincible film with Universal Studios. Despite having been announced in 2017, the film has very few details.
However, the film has not been left for dead, either. Robert Kirkman still mentions it frequently, and even talked about the development at last year’s Comic-Con with The Direct:
“[I]t has to be as good as the show, but in a lot of ways, it has to be better than the show because, you know, movies are tough, and you got to get audiences into theaters. And that’s a process. It’s very difficult, but we’ve got a good team behind it. And I think that we’re hopefully going to do something pretty cool, but it may take so long that Timothée Chalamet can play Omni-Man.”
While they wait for more news on the film, Invincible fans can watch season three of the show starting February 6, on Amazon Prime Video.
