What happens in New Vegas, stays in New Vegas! Production on Season 2 of Prime Video’s Fallout recently wrapped. Ahead of the second season’s release this December, fans of the video games have their first official look at the most iconic location in The Wasteland: New Vegas. The Mojave Wasteland was teased to be the setting for Season 2 in the Season 1 finale. In the final episode, fans saw a brief glimpse of the New Vegas skyline as Hank McLean (Kyle MacLachlan) ran towards it in a suit of power armor. The new still reveals a bit more of Prime Video’s interpretation of New Vegas, and we can’t wait to see the madness unfold on screen.
A new teaser for Season 2 of Fallout was released as part of Amazon Upfront, where the streamer showcased new promos and updates for its upcoming shows and movies. The full teaser has yet to be officially released to the public, but some screenshots and info have leaked online. The most exciting part of the new teaser is the final shot. Lucy (Ella Purnell) and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) can be seen walking across the Mojave Desert towards New Vegas, where the city’s iconic skyline looms large on the horizon.

The Books That Inspired Fallout Are Essential Reading Before the Show
Alongside films like Mad Max, these three literary classics must be read before the Fallout series hits Prime Video next year.
It isn’t clear how much of Season 2 will be set within New Vegas, especially as Maximus’ (Aaron Moten) story could take his character elsewhere in the Wasteland. But, the tease promises that fans of Fallout: New Vegas will get to see a lot of the beloved video game location. Leaked set photos have already revealed that Dinky the T. rex and the town of Novac will feature in the show.
Even More Walton Goggins in ‘Fallout’ Season 2
As The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones have proved, you can never have too much Walton Goggins in your life. As well as playing The Ghoul in Season 1, Fallout also included several flashbacks to his pre-war life as Hollywood actor, Cooper Howard. Much of the leaked teaser showed more of Howard’s time working with Vault-Tec before the bombs dropped in 2077.
The teaser includes references to the game, like the famous Nuka-Cola drink. There’s even a direct nod to Fallout: New Vegas. One of the many brands that Cooper Howard promotes in the featurette is the Lucky 38, one of the many casinos that line the New Vegas strip. Just like war, it seems that New Vegas never changes.
Fallout fans are eating good following Amazon Upfront. Alongside the new teaser, Prime Video also revealed the release window for Season 2 and gave a gigantic update for Season 3. Season 2 will premiere this December. And, Season 3 has officially been greenlit by Amazon. Many thought they’d have to wait until Season 2 was finished for a third adventure into the Wasteland. But it seems that Amazon has high hopes for the future of Fallout.
