The 2021 BAFTA Television Awards celebrate the best of British television. We have so much gratitude to incredible creators like Michaela Coel; the casts of Normal People, Sex Education, and Small Axe; and the delightful Nicola Coughlan for lighting up our screens over the past year. And now, we are buzzing to see what these stars wear to accept their much-deserved awards.
The BAFTA red carpet was most excited to see Michaela, who is nominated for leading actress in I May Destroy You, while her series held a second stand-alone nomination as well. Michaela arrived looking like a winner in a custom black-and-red Highway gown from Maximilian’s spring/summer 2021 collection. Golda Rosheuvel, known as Queen Charlotte on Bridgerton, also went for an on-trend black dress by a designer of the moment. Golda wore a Simone Rocha autumn/winter 2021 runway look that featured a smart white Oxford shirt layered under a black mesh, puff-sleeved dress with rose embroidery and black patent brogue shoes. Fellow Bridgerton star Nicola also lit up the red carpet in a custom orange Valentino gown with rose-pink mules and bold cobalt eye makeup.
