What Jeans Are in Style For Fall 2021?

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.

Although it’s been a minute since we slipped into our jeans, we have been itching to dress up a bit, and what better way to welcome fall than with some new denim?

One trend we’ll be seeing a lot more of is reworked denim. As more consumers develop a stronger desire to care for our planet, retailers are creating collections of stretch biodegradable denim and eco-conscious denim, often made of plant-based materials that can decompose, producing a minimal environmental impact. We first saw this introduced at Stella McCartney’s fall/winter 2020 show and expect to see more brands adopting the new technology.

Nostalgia will continue to play a big role with an updated take on the ’90s bootcut styles — think Rachel Green’s denim in Friends — and a ’70s flare with an ’80s tapered high waist and barrel leg. Ahead, learn more about this season’s biggest denim trends and shop our favorite selects. You can also jump ahead to your favorite trend below.
