Summer is almost here, and so is the new content from our favorite streaming services. Many might consider Disney+ to be one of the more “prestigious” streamers out there, thanks to Disney’s status as one of the worldwide leaders in entertainment. Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Disney animated classics are all under the streamer’s umbrella. We all have a favorite movie, special, or TV series, many of which can be enjoyed on the streamer. June is promising something new for fans of all ages.
A beloved animated series from our childhoods is back with new episodes, and the women of sportscasting will be celebrated. While May was for Star Wars, June is for Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is pumping out the latest installment in its long line of television series. So, take a look at everything new coming to Disney+ in June 2025.
‘Phineas and Ferb’ (Season 5)
Streaming June 6
There are still 104 days of summer vacation, apparently. Disney Channel’s iconic animated series, Phineas and Ferb, will return with all-new episodes this summer. The original series followed the adventures of titular step-brothers Phineas and Ferb, their sister Candace, and other assorted friends and enemies in the city of Danville. Dr. Heinz Doofenschmirtz was also on hand to try (and usually fail) to perfect some new evil invention.
The original show ran for four seasons from 2007 to 2015, starring the voices of Vincent Martella, Thomas Sangster, Ashley Tisdale, Caroline Rhea, Dee Bradley Baker, and co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. Most of the cast returns for this revival, with David Errigo, Jr. replacing Sangster as Ferb. The fifth and an upcoming sixth season of Phineas and Ferb were ordered in January 2023. The first two episodes will debut on June 5 on Disney Channel and Disney XD. The season’s first 10 episodes will then stream on Disney+ starting June 6, just in time for summer vacation.
‘Ironheart’ (Season 1)
Streaming June 24
The MCU’s latest offering is the Black Panther spin-off Ironheart. Dominique Thorne reprises her Black Panther: Wakanda Forever role as Riri Williams, returning home to her native Chicago. She encounters Parker Robbins/The Hood (Anthony Ramos) there, and her reliance on technology conflicts with his magic and dark arts. The show will explore Riri’s alter ego of Ironheart in more depth, after briefly touching on it in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

A full trailer was released on May 14, earning praise for quickly establishing the characters, action, story, and stakes. But of course, you had the usual “woke” review-bombing for no tangible reason. Ironheart is set to wrap the television side of the MCU’s Phase Five. Underdogs was first greenlit by National Geographic in January 2023 and is expected to debut on Disney+ this June. The series consists of 10 episodes, each narrated by Reynolds. It will reportedly spotlight the more overlooked creatures in nature, showing the “good, bad, and ugly” side of things.

Disney creates hit movies, but their streaming service has also made some binge-worthy series that are fit for weekend viewing.
Currently, there is no exact release date projected for the show. All we have is the trailer, which leans into the “ugly” side of things with its graphic hippo visuals. Animal and comedy lovers should keep an eye out for this one as more details emerge.
‘Vibe Check’ (Season 1)
Streaming TBA June
Disney
Vibe Check is a new ESPN studio sports show led by the women of the network. Per ESPN, Vibe Check will feature:
“[the] most prominent voices, leveraging their expertise, insight, and storytelling to provide a fresh, perspective-driven approach to sports coverage. [It will provide] expert analysis, all-access moments, unapologetic opinions and a healthy dose of laughter – all while bringing audiences bold perspectives and unbeatable vibes.”
It’s a big step for the traditionally male-dominated field of sportscasting. Three new episodes featuring ESPN’s best female talent offering their unique and diverse perspectives stream each week. The series will provide content tailored towards the Disney+ audience and a social, cross-platform demographic. There’s not an exact timetable for this one yet, but expect more news as we get closer to its projected June launch.
