The latest poster for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves puts the spotlight on the main players in the upcoming adaptation of the iconic tabletop role-playing game. Putting Star Trek star Chris Pine front-and-center, the poster offers another look at the ensemble cast, with a newly released behind-the-scenes featurette (via Twitter) providing some insight into how directing duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley plan to bring the fantasy to life on the big screen.
Of course, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is expected to feature a whole lot of dungeons, dragons, and everything in between, with this glimpse behind-the-scenes teasing the creatures and monsters that will be on display. “The Dungeons & Dragons world has amazing creatures,” star Michelle Rodriguez says in the footage. “In this one, I think they outdid themselves.”

“These creatures are insane,” adds her co-star, Sophia Lillis. “You really can tell they put a lot into this.” Finally, Chris Pine hypes the blockbuster nature of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves saying, “This is just big, fun moviemaking,” with Rodriguez adding, “Yeah, it’s pretty badass.”
Described as a fantasy action-adventure comedy, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves follows a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers as they undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic. But things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will aim to bring the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary role playing game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
Leading an ensemble cast of characters, Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Star Trek Beyond) stars as Elgin, a Bard and will be supported on this epic quest by the likes of Michelle Rodriguez (the Fast and Furious franchise) as Holga, a Barbarian; Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton, The Gray Man) as Xenk, a Paladin; Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) as Simon, a Sorcerer; Sophia Lillis (It, It Chapter Two) as Doric, a thieving Druid; and Hugh Grant (The Gentlemen) as Forge Fletcher, a Rogue. The rest of the supporting cast includes Chloe Coleman, Jason Wong, Sophia Eleni, and Daisy Head.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a Mixture of Comedy, Fantasy & Action

A live-action take on the vast world of Dungeons and Dragons has been in the works for some time, and director Jonathan Goldstein wants the adaptation to have everything. From comedy, to fantasy, to action. “We want it to be fun,” Goldstein said of the project previously. “It’s not an out and out comedy, but it is an action-fantasy movie with a lot of comedic elements and characters we hope people will really get into and enjoy watching their adventures.”
Co-written and directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, a filmmaking duo most famous for Game Night, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 31, 2023, by Paramount Pictures.
