Spider-Senses should be tingling wildly this morning because Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy would “love to make” a movie featuring the friendly neighborhood webslinger and the Merc with a Mouth. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s highly anticipated team-up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Deadpool & Wolverine, is still a month away, but the film’s director is already thinking about bringing Reynolds’ anti-hero and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man together on the Silver Screen. Levy said in an interview with Total Film magazine (via GamesRadar+):
“The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity.
But, boy,
I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey.
That’s a movie I’d love to make.
I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.”

Word is that Levy is actually being courted to helm Avengers 5, but whether that comes to fruition or not remains to be seen. Wade Wilson, aka the chimichanga-eating Deadpool, got a taste for time traveling in the anti-hero’s last big-screen adventure in 2018. And in Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel’s multiverse will be on full display. Plus, since Holland’s Peter Parker, aka Spidey, has already gotten a taste of the multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it would be easy enough to bring these two Marvel titans together in the MCU.
Producer Wants Deadpool & She-Hulk Villain to Face Off
Deadpool & Wolverine eyes a massive opening weekend at the domestic box office as long-range predictions forecast that the film will make between $200 million and $240 million to start its theatrical run. And while Shawn Levy would be interested in mirroring the comic books — bringing Deadpool and Spider-Man together — She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s Wendy Jacobson wants to see Wade Wilson square off against actress Jameela Jamil’s Titania. The producer said via the same source:
“She’s such a heightened, hilarious character and also an actor who can improv and is razor-sharp and can banter.
I can’t imagine being an actor, period,
but I can’t imagine having to work opposite someone like Ryan Reynolds,
who is just so quick and so smart and so funny all the time –
but that woman could handle it.”

The grand prize winners will win a trip to attend the world premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
As far as Deadpool & Wolverine goes, there are plenty of openings for any number of characters and/or their variants to show up in Levy’s upcoming multiverse of madness — apologies Doctor Strange. And even though Taylor Swift’s Dazzler will reportedly be MIA, there’s still no reason to rule out the singing sensation for sure. After all, Andrew Garfield adamantly denied his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and lo and behold, the actor still showed up to help his fellow wall crawlers take on and cure all the Spidey villains.
