Couple divorce after wife kisses Romeo Santos onstage at an Aventura gig

A husband has left his wife after she kissed Romeo Santos on stage while at an Aventura gig.

During the bachata group’s show in their native Dominican Republic on December 28, a fan by the name of Miriam Cruz took a moment to kiss frontman Romeo Santos after being invited on stage.

In fan-captured footage of the viral moment, Cruz is seen jumping on the stage and greeting members of the band. When she gets to Santos, she hugs him and kisses him. The crowd erupt in cheers and Cruz remains seated beside the ‘Obsesion’ singer while the group perform their 2003 song ‘La Guerra’.

Following the viral moment, Cruz took to her social media to reveal that her actions with the singer at the gig led to a split between her and her husband of a decade. In a now-deleted post shared by Cruz on her social media, she wrote: “I have to acknowledge that this achievement came at a very high cost: the breakup of my 10-year marriage,” (as per Consequence Of Sound).

She went on to explain that he had gotten “carried away by nerves and emotion, without considering how this could affect my family.” Though she has become “overcome with deep sadness,” she fully respects her ex’s decision to divorce.

Cruz continued, revealing that he is “happy” for “having achieved this long-awaited dream, one that I imagined for years,” and explained that she is a massive fan of Santos, saying: “For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about valuing the great human being that he is. I have followed and admired him for a long time.”

In other news, Aventura are set to take over the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on January 5.
