Wallace & Gromit are coming to ‘PowerWash Simulator’

The latest expansion for PowerWash Simulator has been confirmed, with Wallace & Gromit heading to the viral cleaning game.

Due for release later this year, the Wallace & Gromit Special Pack will see players take to the gadget-riddled house at 62 West Wallaby Street to clean things up. “Hold onto your teapots, Washers! It’s time for another cracking adventure,” said developers. The expansion is due “soon” and will take players from “charming British suburbs to cheesy celestial bodies.”

The collab has been developed alongside Wallace & Gromit creators Aardman Animations and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.

PowerWash Simulator teased the partnership earlier this month while praising the recent Wallace & Gromit film. “Congratulations to Aardman on the release of Vengeance Most Fowl, cracking job. Looks like things may have gotten a little messy. What if…,” they wrote on social media. Vengeance Most Fowl premiered on Christmas Day and was the second most-viewed program of the day in the UK after the Gavin & Stacey finale.

PowerWash Simulator has previously teamed up with Shrek, SpongeBob SquarePants and Back To The Future for expansions.

Meanwhile Aardman Animations have confirmed an “exciting collaboration” with The Pokémon Company. The “special project” will be unveiled in 2027. “The collaboration will see Aardman bringing its unique style of storytelling to the Pokémon universe in brand-new adventures.”

“This is a dream partnership for Pokémon,” said Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing and media at The Pokémon Company. “Aardman are masters of their craft and we have been blown away by their talent and creativity. What we have been working on together ensures our global Pokémon fans are in for a treat!”

Aardman’s Sean Clarke went on to say that the two studios “share an emphasis on heritage and attention to detail as well as putting our fans and audiences at the heart of what we do, which we know will steer us right as we together create charming, original and new stories for audiences around the world.”

In other news, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed again to allow Ubisoft time to “further polish” the action-stealth game. It was originally supposed to launch last November but is now due at the end of March.
