Incoming Kentucky freshman Aaron Bradshaw suffered a fracture in his foot that could delay the start to his season, sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania on Friday.
Bradshaw’s the No. 6 prospect in the 2023 class according to ESPN, and one of the key pieces of Kentucky’s top-rated recruiting class, which features four five-star freshmen.
The 7-footer from New Jersey is slated to take over the center position from Oscar Tshiebwe, the 2022 National Player of the Year, who declared for the 2023 NBA Draft instead of returning for a fifth college season.
Kentucky is poised to have one of the most inexperienced rosters in college basketball next season, with only 89 total combined points spread among its three confirmed returnees.
Coach John Calipari and the Wildcats haven’t advanced past the NCAA Tournament’s first weekend since 2019.
