The 90s animated favorite Biker Mice from Mars is making a surprise return, with a new series and a new toy line now being planned by The Nacelle Company. This exciting news (well, exciting for anyone whose childhood took place in the 90s, anyway) comes courtesy of ComicBook.com, with The Nacelle Company revealing that they have obtained the rights to the Biker Mice from Mars property and cannot wait to bring the anthropomorphic Martian rodents back to the screen.
“Biker Mice is the perfect way to start 2023 off with a Mars-based bang! And they’ll fit in,with their unique, creative brilliance, with the rest of brands we’ve recently acquired,” Nacelle CEO Brian Volk-Weiss said to the outlet.

The Nacelle Company is the studio behind such Netflix shows as The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us, as well as Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History, the Mad About You reboot which debuted back in 2019, Icons Unearthed, and more. The studio is also developing a Robo Force animated series based on the beloved 80s toyline, and has further plans to relaunch the likes of Sectaurs, Big Bad Battle Caps, among others.

Who Are the Biker Mice from Mars?
New World International
Created by Rick Ungar, the Biker Mice from Mars is a science fiction action animated series which first began way back in 1993. Running for three seasons and ending in 1996, Biker Mice from Mars consists of 65 episodes of pulpy sci-fi mayhem as it follows three anthropomorphic mice motorcyclists named Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie who escape a war on their home planet of Mars. Arriving on Earth, the Biker Mice discover that the same evil that destroyed their planet has arrived as well. Thus, the trio vow to defend the Earth and hopefully one day return to their homeworld.
“On the planet Mars, there existed a race of anthropomorphic mice who enjoyed motorsports and had a very similar culture and society to that of human beings,” the official synopsis for Biker Mice of Mars reads. “Eventually, they were all but wiped out by the Plutarkians, an alien race of obese, foul-smelling, worm-eating, fish-like humanoids who plunder other planets for their natural resources. Three survivors: Throttle, Modo and Vinnie, manage to find a spaceship and escape the Plutarkian takeover, but instead, they soon find themselves crash-landing on Earth in the city of Chicago. Along with a charming female mechanic named Charlene “Charley” Davidson, the Biker Mice must defend Earth and defeat the villainous Plutarkians, in an attempt to finally return to their homeland of Mars.”
Biker Mice from Mars has since spawned comics and video games, as well as a one season sequel series back in 2006. While it is unknown how the revival series of Biker Mice from Mars from The Nacelle Company will approach the story, just the news of a return for the trio of motorcycle-riding, laser-shooting mice is sure to have many a millennial very excited indeed.
