What Is ‘A Working Man’ About?
A Working Man is an action film revolving around a human trafficking plot that must be stopped. Levon Cade, the film’s main character, was once part of the Royal Marines. He’s left that world behind, taking up construction jobs instead. However, a crime connected to people close to him draws him back in. Cade works for the construction company “Garcia & Family Construction.” He has a strong bond with the owners, and in the trailer he tells them, “You’re my family.” When the owners’ daughter, Jenny, goes missing and the police can’t find her, Cade promises to find her.
In his search for Jenny, Cade discovers a human trafficking conspiracy. “Gangs, the mob, corrupt government officials, they’re all involved in human trafficking,” he says. It’s up to him to stop them all and get Jenny back. His buddy tells him, “You killed your way into this. You’re going to have to kill your way out of it.” It’s a line that promises spectacular action throughout the whole film.
‘A Working Man’ Brings Statham, Stallone, and More Together
A Working Man is tied to many of the action genre’s biggest names. Jason Statham stars in the film as Levon Cade. David Harbour, from Stranger Things and the upcoming Marvel film Thunderbolts*, plays Cade’s blind friend, who’s still an excellent fighter. Michael Peña from the Ant-Man films is also in A Working Man, as Cade’s boss, whose daughter is stolen.
Behind the scenes, A Working Man has picked up a few stars as well. David Ayer, who directed Suicide Squad and The Beekeeper, is the director of A Working Man. Ayer also co-wrote the script, working with another action star who brought roles like Rambo to life, Sylvester Stallone.

Despite the Reviews, Fans of ‘The Expendables’ Can’t Miss Sylvester Stallone’s New Action Thriller
Sylvester Stallone has been entertaining fans all around the world for over 50 years, and the cinema legend is back for another adventure in ‘Alarum.’
It’s not Stallone’s first time working with Statham, as the two appeared in all four Expendables movies together. It’s also not Stallone’s first time writing a script, as the star has written many of his own action films, including the Oscar-nominated Rocky screenplay, as well as the Statham-led movie Homefront. Stallone originally wanted to make A Working Man a television series but went with a film instead. His production company, Balboa Productions, is attached to the film as well.
Stallone adapted the script for A Working Man from a book called Levon’s Trade, which was actually the title of the film until last December. Levon’s Trade was written by Chuck Dixon, who worked on action-packed comics that starred heroes like Punisher and Batman. Dixon had the opportunity to work with Stallone before on a rewrite of The Expendables 2, but Dixon declined. Not much is changed from the general plot of the film and the novel, though it’s possible fans of the book might notice a few changed details when the film releases.
‘A Working Man’ Possibly Coming to Prime Video, Might Get Sequels
A Working Man releases exclusively in theaters on March 28. However, after a few weeks, the film will likely be available to stream on Prime Video. The movie is distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, and a similar film distributed by the company, Red One, was released on the streaming service about a month after it came out in theaters. Audiences can expect to watch the film at home in late April or early May.

‘The Expendables 3’ is more watchable now than during its release in 2014.
A Working Man has a good chance to get sequels if it does well in theaters or on streaming. Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone are huge action stars, and many of their films have received sequels. With Stallone producing A Working Man, he could make the call to make more films if he really loves how A Working Man turns out.
There’s also plenty of Levon Cade’s story to adapt. Chuck Dixon wrote five books in the Levon Cade series, and the books find the character running from the government, fighting ISIS, and more. For now, audiences will have to watch Statham take on human traffickers when A Working Man lands in theaters at the end of March.
