Billy Miller, star of acclaimed productions such as General Hospital and Suits, has sadly passed away at the age of 43.
William John Miller II was born in 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, although he grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. The actor got his first role on screen in CSI: NY in 2006. A year later he joined the cast of All My Children, playing Richie Novak. However, the big break in his career would come in 2008, when he joined the popular soap opera The Young and the Restless, where he played Billy Abbott.
Variety broke the news that the Daytime Emmy Award-winner died last Friday in Texas, after a long battle with depression. The details of his passing was revealed by his agency on Sunday, the day the actor would have turned 44.
In addition to his great success on television, the actor also had his chance on the big screen. In 2014 he was part of the film Bad Blood, while in 2015 he had a small role in Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper alongside Bradley Cooper, based on the life of Chris Kyle.
After leaving his popular role on The Young and the Restless, Miller joined another famous soap opera, General Hospital. In addition, Miller participated in other acclaimed series such as Justified, Castle, Ray Donovan, Truth Be Told, or the extremely popular Suits, participating in four episodes as Marcus Specter.

Suits Creator Shares Emotional Message After Billy Miller’s Passing

Suits is an acclaimed legal drama created by Aaron Korsh for the USA Network, premiering in 2011 that is currently experiencing a new-found popularity after joining Netflix’s catalog. The series follows the story of Michael James Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout with great intelligence and wit. So much so that he manages to impress one of the partners of one of the best firms in New York City, Harvey Reginald Specter (Gabriel Macht). Miller first appeared in the fourth season of the series, playing Marcus, Harvey’s brother, who has a severe gambling addiction.
Even though Miller didn’t have a big role in the series, he undoubtedly left a big impact on the people that worked with him. Through X, Korsh shared emotional words upon learning of the actor’s death:
“Very sad news for the entire Suits family. Billy Miller has passed away. I flew home once with Billy. We had a great time, bonding over the five hour flight, which seemed like it was over in minutes. A funny, smart, kind, gentle man.”
