A new clip from Loki season two has been released and finds Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief and Owen Wilson’s TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius fighting to work out what exactly is going on in this multiverse of madness. Released courtesy of CoveredGeekly, this newly released footage should have Marvel fans even more excited for the return of Loki, which is due to land on Disney+ tomorrow. Check out the clip from Loki season two below:

MovieWeb’s own Julian Roman has been lucky enough to have already seen the first four episodes of Loki season two, and while he found the story a little convoluted at times, he did praise the fourth episode for tying all the strings together.

“Each episode has a cliffhanger ending that develops from a crazy idea. It’s a loop of chaos to catastrophe that frankly befuddles. The recaps before the first act become pivotal to understanding the overall story. It all comes together quite eloquently in a banner fourth episode where all the chips are finally on the table.”

The mischievous grin of Loki may be the one fans are anticipating in the upcoming season of Marvel’s hit series Loki, but it’s Owen Wilson’s captivating portrayal of Mobius M. Mobius that has everyone buzzing, especially after an earlier release of a hilarious new clip. Season one of the Tom Hiddleston-starring Disney+ series introduced us not only to a myriad of Loki Variants but also to the endearing Mobius, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) agent with an inexplicable passion for jet skis.

This multifaceted character played by Owen Wilson quickly became a standout, offering a human touch amid the cosmic chaos, often stealing scenes with his laid-back charisma. Recent teasers, trailers, and TV spots have already tantalized fans with glimpses of Mobius’ role in the upcoming season, but new footage has elevated excitement levels with an in-depth look at his delightful return.

This clip (shared via X, formerly Twitter) uncovers a unique setting for Mobius and Loki’s reunion: an old-school McDonald’s. It’s not just the God of Mischief who enjoys a meal under the golden arches; Mobius, too, seems to relish the simplicity of fast food. The clip reveals a conversation between Mobius and a mysterious TVA prisoner, played by Rafael Casal. Their banter, revolving around a McDonald’s shake, is humorous and poignant, reminiscent of the engaging dialogues between Loki and Mobius from the previous season. A snippet of dialogue from the scene showcases Wilson’s comedic talent. Casal’s character accuses Mobius, “You slapped me in the face, I’m not going to forget that.” Mobius calmly replies, “I got you a shake, okay?”

The dialogue, infused with clever wit and subtle humor, establishes an exciting tone for a season expected to be rich in twists and memorable acts. Meanwhile, a second clip (via McDonald’s) finds Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief reuniting with fellow God of Mischief, Sylvie.

Fan concerns regarding the quality and direction of the new season have been swirling, yet reactions on social media offer reassuring hints that season two will maintain the charm and intrigue that made the first season a success. These sneak peeks not only provide a humorous side to Mobius but also intriguingly hint at his future adventures. Sporting an astronaut-inspired “Temporal Suit” and delving deeper into Mobius’ backstory, the upcoming season seems poised to explore uncharted territories.

Loki season two appears to be embracing the essence that made it a favorite among Marvel aficionados. With Owen Wilson’s impeccable timing and unmistakable flair, his portrayal of Mobius is sure to delight audiences once again.

The newly released footage’s mix of comedy, action, and sentiment calls viewers to start a fresh adventure in time and space, grounded by known characters and guided by an awe-inspiring vision. From fast-food feuds to temporal pursuits, Loki’s second season promises to be a thrilling ride. As Mobius himself might say, with a shake and a smile, the adventure is just beginning.

Loki Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on October 5, promising more mischief, more laughter, and, quite possibly, more jet skis. Loki fans shouldn’t miss the opportunity to join the excitement.
