The World According to Jeff Goldblum Season 2 Debuts on Disney+ Day in November

The series The World According to Jeff Goldblum started streaming on Disney+’s very first day: November 12, 2019. On January 17, 2020, Variety reported that the show was renewed for a second season, which would be made up of ten episodes. And recently, a release date for Season 2 was announced by The Walt Disney Company. Once again, fans can watch the series on November 12, also known as Disney+ Day (via Laughing Place).

In particular, the first five episodes of Season 2 of the Jeff Goldblum show will come out on this exciting Friday, which will be a global celebration that includes new content such as: Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings, Jungle Cruise, Home Sweet Home Alone and Olaf Presents. This means Marvel fans won’t have to wait long to watch Shang-Chi at home, even though it’s obliterating the box office now. According to Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, there will also be an inaugural Disney+ Day fan celebration, with looks at what’s to come on the platform.

The first season of The World According to Jeff Goldblum showed Goldblum exploring and educating viewers on jewelry, ice cream, video games, coffee, tattoos, denim, barbecue, sneakers, bikes, RVs, cosmetics and pools, and for this work, a Primetime Emmy Award nomination came for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. One of the upcoming episodes appears to be focused on fireworks. On July 4, the Disney+ Twitter account wished everyone a happy Fourth of July by sharing a teaser that read “His spark is back.” The clip featured Goldblum oohing and ahhing over sparkler-type fireworks that formed an image of his face. He was also seen in a Disney+ tweet from September 22, which celebrated the first day of fall with a reminder about Disney+ Day.

“Jeff has captured the imagination and curiosity of our audience with his distinct perspective and illuminating adventures,” said Disney+’s president of content and marketing, Ricky Strauss. “We can’t wait to see where Jeff and our partners at National Geographic take us in season two.” While there are an array of National Geographic programs on Disney+, The World According to Jeff Goldblum was the streaming service’s first original documentary series with the brand, and it was successful enough to score a renewal.

“Jeff’s genuine curiosity in the world makes him a natural fit for the National Geographic brand,” said Courteney Monroe, who is the president of National Geographic Global Television Networks, via Variety. “There is something special and intangible about Jeff, and his fascination with the world is infectious. We’re thrilled to be able to share his humor and sensibilities to a broader audience on Disney+.”

It’s clear that Disney didn’t buy into the internet’s plans to “cancel” Jeff Goldblum. The World According to Jeff Goldblum is produced by Nutopia, and its executive producers include Jane Root, Arif Nurmohamed, Matt Renner, Peter Lovering, Keith Addis and Goldblum. The series is directed by Karen McGann, Simon Lloyd and Nic Stacey. Goldblum, known for his work in The Fly, Independence Day and the Jurassic Park flicks, is a fan favorite, and watching him talk about everyday things is super interesting. That being said, be sure to mark your calendar for Friday, November 12, when the second season of this series (along with so much more) drops on Disney+ Day!
