Wilmer Valderrama Slips Back Into Fez Clothes to Hype That ’90s Show Return

Wilmer Valderrama celebrated his upcoming return as Fez by pulling out one of his classic outfits, and yes, it still fits.

That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama couldn’t wait to get back into character as Fez after it was announced that he will return to the role for the Netflix spinoff series, That ’90s Show. When the show was first announced, it was revealed that Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp would return as Red and Kitty Forman, but it was unclear if any other original That ’70s Show stars would also return.

Fortunately for fans, it was recently announced by Netflix that nearly all of the original main cast members will be coming back to reprise their roles. Of course, this includes Valderrama as Fez, as well as Topher Grace as Eric, Mila Kunis as Jackie, Laura Prepon as Donna, and Ashton Kutcher as Kelso. It’s of no real surprise, but Danny Masterson is not returning as Hyde, most likely due to the pending criminal charges against the actor.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Shortly after it was announced that the original cast would return, Valderrama posted to Instagram video footage of himself retrieving a box of Fez memorabilia from storage. The actor, who has since been starring on NCIS, pulled out one of his old Fez outfits and slipped right into it. It fits perfectly, showing that not much has changed with Valderrama since That ’70s Show went off the air. You can watch the Instagram video below.

Weeks before this announcement, Valderrama teased that he’d “never say no” to reprising the role. It was a strong hint that he would likely turn up in the spinoff but the actor was likely waiting for Netflix to make the official announcement. Valderrama has been vocal in past years about his desire to revisit That ’70s Show as well. Long before That ’90s Show was announced, Valderrama said in 2019:

“We’ve talked about it… Maybe it’s That ’70s Movie, but it takes place in the ’90s? Where are they now? Or maybe the late ’80s might be kind of funny too. I don’t know, there’s nothing creatively in the works, but we talked about it. We thought it’d be really fun, and funny, because the tone of That ’70s Show could lend itself for something very forward-thinking.”
