Chelsea finally has a new owner

Chelsea has announced that they are under new ownership with Todd Boehly completing the takeover late last week with the deal being worth up to £4.25bn after buying the club from Roman Abramovich who had to put the club up for sale due to government sanctions against him. Football fans have been placing their bets on who would take over Chelsea football club with football fans using casino zonder vergunning en cruks like here to place their bets on whom they thought would take over the club.

The new era

The new era at Chelsea football club has begun and the club are expected to invest heavily during the summer transfer window which is set to open in a few weeks. There have been a lot of Chelsea’s players that have left or are leaving the club on a free transfer as the club could not renew players’ contracts until the approved sale of the club had gone through.

We can expect to see Todd Boehly investing a large sum of money into the transfer chest with the club reportedly having over 200m plus player sales to spend during the summer transfer window. Todd Boehly part-owns Los Angeles Dodgers and has been known for his great work at bringing in new players and getting world-class players that are close to the end of their current contracts with other clubs which could benefit him at Chelsea if he uses this same strategy.

The summer transfer window

The new owner and Chelsea will be looking to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool next season with them being a lot of points behind the two teams this season and only just managing to qualify for a champion’s league spot next season. There will be plenty of players leaving Chelsea this summer due to their contracts expiring or them wanting a challenge at a new club either in the same league or moving to a different country to try their luck there.

Clubs will be looking to try and sign some of Chelsea’s first-team players as most of them are world-class players, but new owner Todd Boehly is looking to try and extend certain players’ contracts such as Mason Mount, Reece James, and Edouard Mendy to ensure that they stay at the club for years to come.

We can expect to see some exciting things happening at Chelsea football club over the next seasons with the club looking to have a new stadium built or to expand the one that is already there.
