Two More Defendants Plead Guilty in Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s Murder-For-Hire Case

Two defendants linked to reality TV show Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s star Tim Norman in the murder-for-hire plot which left his nephew Andre Montgomery dead in 2016 have pleaded guilty. Terica Ellis and Waiel Rebhi Yaghnam were initially charged in August 2020 with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and mail fraud. A third party, Travell Anthony Hill, pleaded guilty on June 3 to conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire as well as a separate count of murder-for-hire. Hill admitted to shooting and killing Montgomery in exchange for $5,000 and was recorded discussing the act with his brother on calls from jail.

Terica Ellis was in a relationship with Norman at the time of the incident when 21-year-old Montgomery was shot and killed in a scheme allegedly orchestrated by his uncle. The woman’s role included assisting Norman in locating his nephew, fully aware of his plan to kill Montgomery. Right after the murder, she made another phone call to Norman and then started driving toward Memphis. Norman later paid Ellis $10,000 in cash for her help.

Ellis banked more than $9,000 over the next two days in three separate deposits into two bank accounts.

Yaghnam, Norman’s insurance agent, reportedly helped Norman take out a life insurance policy on his nephew before his death. In a plea agreement, Yaghnam claimed the former reality star took out a policy worth $450,000 on his relative, for which he was the sole beneficiary, and attempted to cash in on it after Montgomery’s death.

Yaghnam added that Norman obtained a $200,000 policy, a $200,000 accidental death rider that would pay out if Montgomery died of anything other than natural causes. In addition, a $50,000 10-year-term rider that would pay out if Montgomery died within ten years of the policy’s issuance in 2014. Norman has been accused of hiring Travell Hill to kill Montgomery outside a St. Louis, Missouri, apartment complex in 2016.

While others have turned their backs on Norman for such a horrific charge, his mother has not. In an interview with KTVI, Robbie Montgomery explained she couldn’t “abandon” her child.

“I’ve had tough times, and I’m still having them, but God is good. My son is in trouble right now, but I’m his mother, and I don’t know no more about it than you ’cause I hear it when you do, but I’m there for him to support….that’s my son, and I can’t abandon him now.”

The trial date for Tim Norman is set for some time in September.
